1990-91 Manchester United European Cup Winners Cup Shirt

The original version of the 1991 European Cup Winners’ Cup shirt has an embossed badge and logo. There are no flat versions of this that you find on similar shirts from this era. The Adidas labels are common early-90s labels.

Match worn – Dream on! This was only made for one match, and I’ve only ever seen 1 match worn for sale; it sold for around £16,000 in 2023. On the match-worn shirts, the United badge and Adidas logo are embroidered. The shirts were only used in this one match, and the players got a short-sleeve and long-sleeve for the game.

Common fakes – There are loads of fakes of this around. If you compare the United badge and the Adidas labels to the ones above, you will be able to easily spot the fakes.

Modern remake – Adidas reissued this shirt in the 2025/26 season. These shirts have an Adidas code in the neck, as shown above.
